Washington Beach was first mentioned in Grand Theft Auto IV on the in-game website hornyhighschoolreunions.com by Peter Wyndup and Claire Floward, who attended Washington Beach High School in the late 1980s. Two highway signs mentioning Washington Beach appeared in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks.
