🛒 GTA 6 pre-order guide: where to buy, every bonus, and the catches

Where to actually buy it
- Digital: the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store on your console. Simplest path, pre-loads automatically, and digital orders get the GTA+ month.
- Boxed: major retailers you already trust — remembering the box contains a code, not a disc, so there’s no resale or lending value. Storage math in the file size & pre-load guide.
- Never a scalper. GTA 6 is a digital product with unlimited supply. Anyone charging above retail is exploiting confusion, and any “cheap key” site risks a revoked code. Current legitimate links live on our deals page.
Regional note, labeled report: press coverage has flagged that pricing varies enough by country that the Ultimate Edition costs less in some regions than the US base game. Check your local storefront before assuming US prices.
Standard or Ultimate?
The short version of our full comparison: Standard is the value play. The $20 Ultimate difference buys exclusive vehicles, cosmetics, five in-game businesses and two bonus side missions — and Rockstar has confirmed a Standard → Ultimate upgrade path after launch, so choosing Standard now loses you nothing. Ultimate is digital-only; there is no Collector’s Edition.
What pre-ordering does NOT get you
- No early access. Neither edition unlocks before November 19 — anyone selling early play is scamming you. Details in Can you play GTA 6 early?
- No beta invite. No beta program exists.
- No disc. Worth repeating for collectors: the box art is the collectible; the game is a download either way.

Turn on automatic downloads so the November 12 pre-load happens while you sleep, then work through the launch-day checklist — storage, spoiler defense, and the unlock-time question — so the night of the 18th is calm. If anything about editions or bonuses changes between now and launch, it lands on the news feed with a source, same day.
