What we know about Belville

The existence of Belville was first revealed in the September 2022 GTA VI leaks, where the name was seen on a highway sign along Interstate 97, reachable by taking Exit 13A to State Route 10. This exit appears to also reach Ekanfinaka, meaning the two locations are likely next to each other. Little else is known about the area otherwise, and it remains unclear whether it appears in other media of the game.

Real-world inspiration analysis

Belville appears to be based on Brownsville, Florida, an unincorporated community in the Miami metropolitan area, as both names share "-ville" suffixes, and Belville sits in close proximity to Ekanfinaka, the in-game Vice City neighborhood seemingly based on the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami, which notably borders Brownsville in Miami-Dade County.
