What exists: two trailers, three years
The official record is short: Trailer 1 (December 2023) introduced Lucia and the world; Trailer 2 (May 2025) — footage Rockstar labeled as captured on PS5 — introduced Jason’s side and the Vice City everyday. Since then: screenshots, site updates, and the delay to November 19, 2026, but no third trailer and no gameplay showcase.
The pattern says the quiet ends before launch
Rockstar’s last two flagships both front-loaded silence and back-loaded marketing:
- GTA 5: two years of trailers, then an official gameplay video ~7 weeks before launch — the single biggest pre-release beat.
- RDR2: three numbered trailers, then two gameplay videos in the final ~6 weeks.
GTA 6 has so far had zero dedicated gameplay presentation. For a company this methodical, that’s the tell: the loudest weapon in Rockstar’s launch playbook is still in the holster, and the launch is in November.
