What’s actually on the record

Nobody at Rockstar has said the word “heists” about GTA 6. Here’s what official material does show:

• Jason and Lucia robbing a store together — masked, armed, coordinated — in official trailer footage. The Bonnie-and-Clyde framing isn’t subtext; it’s the marketing.
• Raul Bautista, introduced in Rockstar’s character material as a seasoned bank robber who recruits crews for big jobs. You don’t write that character into your story to have him play cards.
• A criminal network premise: the official story setup drops Jason and Lucia into a conspiracy that spans Leonida — the classic escalation ladder every GTA climbs.

The precedent (labeled as such)

GTA 5 made heists its tentpole — multi-stage setups, crew selection, approach choice — and GTA Online spent a decade proving they’re the most replayed content Rockstar makes. RDR2 added ambient robbery: shops, homesteads, trains, stagecoaches, all robbable outside missions. Our read (labeled analysis): GTA 6 merges the two — authored heist setpieces on the story spine (Raul’s crew jobs are the obvious vehicle), plus ambient robbery in the open world, which the store scene teases.

What’s still unknown

Everything mechanical: crew systems, planning boards, approach choice, whether robbery money feeds a property or business loop. No official material shows a mission structure. Claims about “heist planning screens” or specific bank locations trace to leaks or fabrication — check the label before you believe.
