🎭 GTA 6 story: everything confirmed about the plot (spoiler-safe)

The premise, straight from Rockstar

Stripped of marketing gloss, the official setup is: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two people who’ve always had the deck stacked against them, take an easy score that goes wrong — and land in the middle of a criminal conspiracy spanning the state of Leonida. Rockstar’s framing is explicit that the relationship is the story: partners who have to trust each other completely to survive it.

Lucia’s opening position is confirmed in official material: she starts the story coming out of Leonida Penitentiary — her prison jumpsuit and the facility appear across the trailers. Jason is framed as an ex-military Keys local scraping by on smuggler work. That’s the extent of the official backstory; everything deeper you’ve read is extrapolation. The underworld around them is filling in too: the confirmed gangs, the robbery evidence on record, and a setting that’s unmistakably modern-day.

Beyond the leads, Rockstar has published these characters — each has a sourced profile on our characters hub:

• Cal Hampton — Jason’s conspiracy-brained friend, glued to police scanners.
• Boobie Ike — Vice City hustle royalty: strip club, studio, real-estate empire.
• Dre’Quan Priest — music-business climber running the Only Raw Records label.
• Real Dimez — the viral rap duo tied into Dre’Quan’s orbit.
• Raul Bautista — veteran bank-robber recruiting for exactly the kind of scores that go wrong.
• Brian Heder — the Keys’ legendary drug-runner with the seaplane hangar (it’s on the map).

Read the cast list and the shape emerges — Keys smuggler country on one side, Vice City’s clubs-and-clout economy on the other, with Jason and Lucia crossing between them.

What is NOT known

• Mission structure, acts, endings — nothing published.
• The villain / the conspiracy’s face — no confirmed antagonist exists in official material.
• Story length — unannounced; the pattern-based expectation is 35–60 hours.
