Bringing GTA 6 to Nintendo Switch 2 'doesn't make sense' when 'anyone will buy a PS5 to get your game,' says former Rock

A former Rockstar developer has suggested that bringing GTA 6 to Nintendo Switch 2 is unlikely, citing the game’s strong appeal on PlayStation 5. According to the developer, the exclusive nature of the title on PS5 makes a port to Nintendo’s hardware unnecessary, arguing that the game’s popularity will drive PS5 sales regardless. The statement reflects the ongoing debate about platform exclusivity and how major releases shape console purchasing decisions. For players anticipating the November 19, 2026 launch, this reinforces that GTA 6 will remain a PlayStation-first experience at launch, though it doesn’t preclude eventual ports to other platforms down the line.
