GTA 6’s unannounced Online mode could launch next year, according to Twitch CEO

GTA 6 Online Mode Timing Revealed

Twitch CEO has suggested that GTA Online VI could launch next year, despite Rockstar Games not having publicly announced the online component yet. The statement indicates the multiplayer mode may arrive separately from the single-player release, following the pattern established by previous Grand Theft Auto titles.

Rockstar has maintained silence on specific details regarding GTA Online VI’s development timeline and feature set. The confirmation from a major industry figure provides one of the first concrete suggestions about when players might expect the online experience.

This matters for players anticipating the November 2026 launch, as it suggests GTA Online VI could arrive as a staggered release rather than launching alongside the base game.
